Member Review is part of the authentication process where the authenticator may notify the potential new owner of any issues with the shoes or boxes that weren’t outlined in the original listing. This process allows the collector to decide whether to proceed with the trade or not. Here’s what you need to know about Member Review:
Will my shoe always be sent for Member Review?
No, Member Review is only initiated if the shoes and/or boxes received do not match the physical condition that was listed in the app. It’s a safeguard to protect both parties in the trade.
Where can I find Member Review?
If a Member Review is triggered, you’ll be notified through your Inbox under Notifications. Here’s how to access and handle a Member Review:
- Navigate to your Inbox.
- Click on Notifications.
- Tap on the Member Review notification to get started.
Once you’ve received the notification, you’ll need to review the item(s) flagged by our authenticators and either accept or reject them within 24 hours. If you don’t take action within 24 hours, the system will automatically reject the item(s) as a precaution.
Important Note: If there are multiple flagged items and you reject even one, the entire trade will be canceled.
What happens if a Member Review is accepted or rejected?
- Accepted: If you accept the Member Review, the trade will continue as normal, and both traders will receive the shoes they traded for. However, if both sides of the trade receive a Member Review, both sides must accept for the trade to proceed.
- Rejected: If you or the other party rejects the Member Review, the trade will be canceled, and both traders’ shoes will be sent back to their original owners. No refunds are provided to the member whose shoes were declined.
To reduce the chances of a Member Review, it’s crucial to thoroughly check and accurately disclose the condition of your shoes before sending or accepting offers.
Can you add cash on top of a trade or sell after a Member Review to potentially save the trade?
No, once a trade has been accepted, you cannot add cash or alter your listing in any way.
